Service Manager in a global environment
For our client, a worldwide operating chemical company, we are looking for a:
Service Manager - Microsoft Exchange
Your responsibility | The Service Manager is co-responsible for the run & maintain activities of the Microsoft Exchange 2010 infrastructure of a global messaging and collaboration infrastructure, including relevant interfaces to other related solutions such as mobile device support (Blackberry / iPhone) or archiving. He/she plans and executes projects and technical changes in the area of messaging-related services to further improve and develop messaging capabilities. The Service Manager is responsible for maintaining messaging statistics, developing and providing KPI tracking & reporting processes and providing forward looking trend analysis. He/she contributes to pro-active server HW maintenance planning (actual technical HW & OS changes performed by outsourcing service provider). This person is expected to actively and willingly share his/her Microsoft Exchange operating expertise and knowledge with other team members. The Service Manager contributes to definition of global rules and standards for Microsoft Exchange administration. Together with other service center colleagues he/she provides 3rd level technical support and assists in the management of the underlying outsourced data center services. Additionally he/she investigates, evaluates and tests new technologies and develops service and technology roadmaps.
Your personality | In-depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 including initial scoping, design, development, integration, testing, deployment as well as maintenance, support and operations of MS-Exchange within the overall system landscape, especially the Microsoft system backend framework (incl. networking principles and IT security, connections to other services like Sharepoint, OCS, DB services, archiving systems, etc). Good collaboration and teamworking skills on global level. Good inter-cultural awareness & flexibility. Service orientation. Process orientation (knowledge of ITIL). Documentation skills. Flexible and willingness to travel (approximately 20%) of total work time. Language skills: English (written and spoken fluently), desirable: German (written & spoken fluently). At least 3 years MS-Exchange system administration experience in larger complex multinational environments. Appropriate Microsoft certifications. ITIL certifications. Experience with MS-Powershell scripting. Project management experience in international settings. Experience in managing external service providers. Team lead experience.
